Seaweek 2018: *free* sciart workshop

Fun for all the family. Join artist researcher Gabby O'Conner and marine scientist Joanne O'Callaghan for this free public art-science-education workshop in Lower Hutt. Find out about their work and help make a large collaborative artwork, 'The Unseen'. This will be displayed in Nelson over Easter.

Joe and Gabby will talk about their research and then you get to help make part of a large collaborative artwork that will be installed in Albion Square in Nelson, 28 March – 8 April.

This project is working with communities and school children to explore the risks associated with environmental and climate change, and how this might affect the way we manage New Zealand’s marine ecosystems.

More than 1,500 people already involved and 15km of rope has been used so far!

This workshop is free, and all materials are provided. Wear comfortable clothes as you’ll be working on the ground.
