Effects of sediment on early life history stages of habitat-dominating fucoid algae

Schiel DR & Gunn TD (2019) Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, 516, pp.44-50

Highlights

This paper tests micro-scale processes of sediment type and loading, and low-lying turfing algae on the settlement, attachment and survival of zygotes of two habitat-forming fucoid algae, showing synergistic interactions among them, dictated by propagule micro-site properties.
