This role has an operations management focus, and requires excellent organisation, planning, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Based at NIWA's Wellington office, you will be working alongside a wide range of researchers and the Challenge Director.
Your ability to communicate effectively with Māori partners and stakeholders, researchers and advisory group members will be critical. You will provide essential coordination and administration, including contracting, reporting and documentation support for the Challenge Director, Manahautū/Deputy Direct Māori, the Challenge Leadership Team, and the Governance Group Chair.
You will have a tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant area, and a strong track record in science project management.
Previous success in working with key stakeholders in a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency context to deliver complex programmes will be an advantage, as will be an interest or experience in marine science/sector.
