Te Au o Te Moana | Special webinar series: Whakatutuki – Bringing it all together

This webinar will discuss how we are weaving together the findings from 75 research projects carried out 2014–2023, and working together with end-users, to ensure the overall result of Sustainable Seas is greater than the sum of its parts.

This webinar will:

  • Provide an overview of our synthesis aims and plan
  • Share our approach to developing high impact outputs that support implementation of EBM
  • Highlight examples of where our research has already fed into real-life situations and achieved impact
  • Include a discussion on what is needed to maximise the impact of synthesis activities and deliver on the Challenge objective
Speakers

Chris Cornelisen (Cawthron Institute), Anne-Maree Schwarz, Caine Taiapa (Manaaki Te Awanui), Nick Lewis (University of Auckland), and Karen Fisher (University of Auckland).

Panellists

Becky Shanahan (Hawke's Bay Regional Council) and Kirstie Knowles (Department of Conservation).

This webinar is the last in a special 6-part series following the cancellation of our 2022 conference, Te Au o Te Moana – The Voice of the Ocean.

A recording of this webinar will be made available on our YouTube webinar playlist within 48 hours of the event.
